Legion XXIV  "On Guard"  at Fort Washington Historical Park, southwest of Washington DC.

Left to right are  Flavius Crispus Candidianus, formerly of Legion IX-Hispana in California; with the "Vexilum" of Legion XXIV showing to the rear  -  Commander Gallio Velius Marsallas, with the Legion's "Aquila" (eagle) standard appearing over his left shoulder  -  The "Signum" of the Legion is just to the left of a new auxillary,  as yet un-named.  The chainemaile and oval shield are typical of equipment issued to auxillary soldiers.
